Boiler Installation Cost
Everything you need to know about the costs involved in boiler replacement.
Everything you need to know about the costs involved in boiler replacement.
Everyone wants to know how much will it cost to install a new gas boiler? We have put together a small guide to help our customers understand what an installation is likely to cost for a combi or a regular boiler. We have broken down the costs into the cost of boiler and the cost of boiler installation.
There are different factors which contribute to how much a boiler will cost. Before you decide to buy a boiler please keep in mind the following factors:
When you are considering replacing your gas boiler, you will be presented with a wide range of boiler manufacturers with little insight as to why prices vary so much. We want to cut through the detail and provide you with the details as to why prices vary for different makes and models.
We have created a comparison table (below) to compare a typical 28kW combi boiler from budget, lower-range, mid-range and high end models.
Our central heating installation team has worked hard to provide you with some rough boiler installation costs for some common installation scenarios. There are three common types of boiler installations:
Our engineers always try their best to keep the costs as low as possible, however sometime it is out of their control and they have to carry out additional work to make sure that the boiler will work to its full potential. The examples of some of the additional costs are:
The tables below show a few scenarios for each type of installation. We have assumed a mid –range boiler cost with a standard installation set up.
Regular boilers are ‘heat only’ boilers. Very simply, the boiler will provide the heating and a cylinder will provide hot water.
The two scenarios below show rough costs for
The cost for moving the boiler will vary according to whether it will be in the same room or moved to another room. In both cases we have assumed the cylinder and all other existing equipment are left in place.
Combi boilers provide heating and hot water via the boiler (there is no cylinder). There are two main scenarios for combi boilers:
Replacing an Existing Combi Boiler
The two cost scenarios below show rough costs for a new combi boiler in the same location and for installing a new combi boiler in a new location. Again the cost for moving the boiler will vary according to where it is moved to.
Replacing a Regular Boiler and Hot Water Cylinder with a Combi Boiler
In this scenario there are a lot of additional works to remove the hot water cylinder and re-direct the hot water pipes to the new combi boiler location.
We have provided two approximate costs for replacing a back boiler:
